Festivity - the season is here!

Before my reason for posting this evening, just an update on Lily - she is home and feeling very sleepy. No collar yet, but when she is back to full mischief, she may need it!! LOL! The stitches are incredibly neat and so her beauty will be in tact! She thanks you all for your lovely comments and wanted me to send a doggy kiss - mwah! LOL!

So today is the unveiling on my latest collaboration - "Festivity" - with the loveliest lady in scrapland - Linda Walton of Bon Scrapatit Designs. I am so excited and honoured to be collaborating with Linda - she is such a talented designer - she has been designing much longer than me and is such an inspiration!

I had the idea of a kit that celebrated the festival season - in the UK, we have carnivals - these are difficult to explain to people from other countries, but they are processions of "floats" (trucks decorated with lots of lights) with people in costume and lots of music. Everyone lines the streets and watches as they pass, usually eating candy floss, hotdogs and burgers and kid throw coins into the collection buckets as they pass collecting for various charities. It's a great fun, family evening out - a very English passtime!! After my description, Linda sent over a colour swatch and as soon as I saw it, I knew it was perfect!

My CT has been playing with my part of the kit and they have produced some wonderful LOs - take a look and you'll agree! I love my CT - their layouts always inspire me!

All that is left for me to say is thank you to Linda for doing this collab with me - you are an absolute gem and I love you to bits. The full kit preview is below - you will get all this loveliness in 3 parts over the next few days. Click my preview below to download my part and click Linda's BEAUTIFUL preview to take you to her blog for downloading her part - don't forget to leave her some love though - she was literally up all night finishing off her part for you very lucky people! Don't worry though - I told her off and sent her to bed at 6am for a couple of hours sleep!! What is she like?

Miss Lily and Master Pompey are surely enjoying their ROYAL treatment tonight!!! Hope to find Miss Lily romping about the house in the morning and feeling her old self!

I really love these colours and the kit looks fantastic. Poor Linda must be absolutely shattered, talk about an ABCD girl! (Above & Beyond the Call of Duty).

The last time I was on a carnival float I way 8 months pregnant with my eldest child Such happy memories. Basingstoke doesn't have a carnival any more because they are miserable tight wads!

I'm glad Lily is on the mend.

Hugs and loads of thanks

What a cute kit, Vicki! Thank you so much for doing this for all of us. :)

Here's sending good vibes for speedy recovery to Lily. Poor thing, I hope she doesn't suffer too much.

Vicki, I'm officially a new fan of yours. I haven't found your blog before but love it already. Thank you for your creative, generous gifts. I'm a fan of Bristol, too -- that's where my husband was working when we met online. We've been happily married for 6 years now, living in the US, but making trips back to the UK as often as possible.
Be good to yourself today, and always,
