More Citrus Brights!

Before we get to the elements for Citrus Brights, I have a favour to ask you all! Right now, I am having a little bit of designers block for my freebies and I don't have a kit prepared for you for next week - which is very unlike me as you know! lol! So, can I ask for some ideas? If you want me to make something for you, you need to send me the following things.... A colour swatch or a photograph that you want to match colours from, a name for the kit or an idea of a theme so that I know what you're looking for, and your email address and blog if you have one. Please note though, there are some rules ;) - I DO NOT like working with pastels, so if you send me pastels, I won't choose your kit to work with! Also, I don't like REALLY themed kits - for instance, if you say you want a football kit - it 'aint happening! If you say you want a general sporty kit, I would consider it if the colours were right.... do you see what I'm saying? Anyway, that's it - I am looking for some inspiration really, not a complete challenge! lol! Whoever's kit I make will get the links when my CT do so that they can put together a LO for my blog if they want to - kind of like a guest CT! What are you waiting for? Get working on it!! My email address is vicki (dot) parker20 (at) gmail (dot) com. Just as an example, the "My Friend's Wedding" kit was requested by a blog reader - she sent me her friend's wedding photo which was perfect. Obviously, the theme was her friend's wedding - hence the name! But, please don't send me lots of wedding photos now - that theme is done ;).

So, back to business - here are the elements for Citrus Brights - which is a very popular kit - which just goes to show that I know nothing!! lol!! Click the image to download and check back tomorrow for the alpha. **Link Expired**

BRIGHT colours evoke the feeling of SUMMER my darling girl and as we are still experiencing winter conditions here in most of the US, I am sure that EVERYONE is REJOICING to see your NEWEST freebie kit!!!

Did you EVER have me chuckling to hear my VERY English girl saying, "it AIN'T happening"!!! You are such a HOOT, but I do understand the block that we as designers experience from time-to-time!

What a LOVELY idea to appeal to your readership - I was just thinking the VERY same late last night, but am hoping that my good night's sleep and morning walk with Robert will get my brain pumping this morning!

Be gentle with your SWEET self. You my friend are a DESIGNING DYNAMO as I like to call it! ALL artists have those blockages and sometimes it takes a bit of stepping back to get a FRESH perspective on things, eh? *wink*

Have a PERFECTLY splendid day my friend and I hope that we can find a day to catch up soon!

LOTS of LOVE and BIG, BIG HUGS,
Linda :)

Gotta go with the weather we are having in SE Tennessee today - April Snow! The white dogwood trees are blooming along with purple money plant in our yard - should be warm spring like weather, but we're having 30 degrees and snow showers today! I'll be watching for whatever you choose. Love your kits.

My first message :) I've been reading your blog for a while and was too shy to de-lurk, but I have to say I LOVE this kit! My kids wear all of these colours a lot, especially the orange and green, so I can see it's going to get a good workout. Thank you for all the beautiful freebies.

Thank you so much for this great kit. I'll get back to you with an idea pronto. Thanks for asking us. As a designer of a different sort I understand pauses in our creativity. Take care, it will come.

I can't even get the inspiration to do much with the beautiful kits you make so I've got nothing to share with you on that front. Because I wasn't using them, I stopped collecting them - for about 3 weeks! You always make beautiful kits and I greatly appreciate the freebies you offer as I just can't afford to start anything that costs money right now, especially when I'm not making anything. I hope you find the inspiration you desire but you deserve to take a break if you need to!

XOXO

Thanks for this kit! I love your work, and am starting to have quite the collection of your kits. They are so versatile, and most can be used for almost any theme of layout, which I love!

I would love to see another monochromatic kit, similar to the vinegar & brown paper one from a while back, but maybe with black/white/shades of grey, etc? I love to work in a monochromatic scheme sometimes, and kits of that nature are a bit hard to find.

Again, thanks for sharing, hope you're having a wonderful week!

hmm.. how about a baby kit? You wouldn't have to do the traditional pastels either hehe.

Something to do outdoors? maying camping or traveling.

I am horrible at thinking up stuff like this as you can see LOL

BWT, I love the kit!

Hi Vicki,
so I am not sure if you have gotten inspired yet or have gotten many ideas, but I am with you about the pastels. Not a fan, and I have 3 girls. Bright is best for me.
Now for my ideas.

My girls have the cutest kimono's my mother sent from china, the colors are so pretty, would love a kit around those colors. Turquoise, and Red, and yellow(the dragons).

I was thinking today that a staple alpha would be pretty cool too.

Last night I had some colors stuck in my head to tell you about today but they are gone. I think it was Chocolate browns with pinks, I dream of these colors. So pretty together.

Another idea...White with light blue (thinking of lighthouses here with the great blue background of the sky.) Then a pop of red, how they often have red rooftops. I love the white washed look of weathered wood.

Uhm... well that is all I have right now.

If I think of other things as I scrapbook I will let you know.

I think you are so great and love all your kits so much. What a great talent you are.

Hey Vickie, I have been looking for a kit with some summertime themed elements, more like backyard stuff, as most stuff is waves and sunglasses, I'm thinking more like bbq's and fences, slides and everyday stuff to scrap my kids. Also garden stuff, shovels, pails, carrots, vegetables...anything like that, and no pastels!! I know you didn't want a themed kit, but these are my ideas!! hopefully you get inspired, must be hard to be constantly creative! Thanks for this freebie too, I love the colors!
