The Faraway Tree alpha

Hi everyone! This is a scheduled post, so I hope you see it!! I am currently enjoying myself in old London town at the Ivy (very posh celebrity restaurant)! I know, I certainly know how to live the high life, but somebody's got to do it!! LOL! Really, it's a work thing, but I am really looking forward to it - the food is delicious and there's always the chance we'll spot a celeb!!

Hey everyone - thanks for all the recommendations on books - I need to sit down and go through them properly to see what looks good for me! I really appreciate it that so many people took the time to help me out :)

I want to tell you about a couple of freebies in scrapland today. First up is Stacey's kit called 'Giving Thanks' which is a gorgeous mix of fall colours with a Thanksgiving theme. Hook me up with some great books please!

OK, I am compiling my christmas list and need to get a few books to read! What do you all recommend? Just so that you know what I like, recently I have read 'The Time Traveler's Wife", "Angels and Demons", and all the Twilight books :) - I loved all of them! I used to love Stephen King when I was younger, but they scare me too much now - LOL, so no scary stuff please :D. I want to know what's good - old or new so that I can beef this list up a bit - my family are always saying I don't give them enough ideas for presents! Thanks - can't wait to hear from you!

Spring Fling freebie kit part 1

Firstly, can I apologise for the technical difficulties we are having with our store. We have taken the decision to take it offline until we get the problem fixed, but be assured - we'll be back just as soon as support get us fixed (hopefully very soon).

So, for today, I promised you a freebie and a freebie you shall have! Before I show you that freebie, take a look at the kit that I am trying to get in store for you all to buy when our store is fixed :). It's called Vintage Chic - I hope you like it! Check back in the next day or two for details on buying it and a freebie add-on....

Back to today's freebie and I have decided to give away a full sized kit in four parts. This is a kit that I was making to sell in store, but I never got around to doing an alpha, so I decided to give it as a freebie instead. You can pick up the first part of the kit today and you will need to check back next Sunday to get part 2 and the following Sunday for part 3 etc... When each new part is released, the previous part will be disabled. You will, however, be able to buy the full kit in store for $1 at any time from the start (well, once the store is online again). Sound good?

What's going on?

Well, I've been quiet lately and that's because it's been so busy for me - work is really picking back up recently and it's pretty full-on (working full time for someone else is a bummer). I have been experiencing designers block too, so that hasn't helped with keeping me active on my blog. However, I have done quite a lot of paper scrapping recently - I've made a calendar for my Mum, my MIL and for me - all different styles - I will post photos one day soon :)

Pompey and Lily are both fine - currently sleeping of course, but enjoying life! Lily is keeping up her agility, but unfortunately, she thinks that jumps are for going under, not over right now! Honestly, talk about embarrassing when we have the most advanced dogs in our group in the class!! But she really enjoys it and that's the main thing I guess! Pompey is his usual gorgeous self and I could just snuggle up to him forever!! lol!

Hubby is continuing with his renovations - not much has happened over the past few months, but he's starting up again with the last parts of the house - the front room and the hall. He is going to re-plaster the walls, lay a new solid oak floor (to match the dining room) and fit our new fireplace. Yes, I know we ordered that months ago - he fitted the bedroom one, but not the front room one!! Anyway, I can't wait til the house is finished - I've been waiting for a while :)

I've also been busy designing two hybrid classes for the next GoGoGetaway. Such responsibility being a teacher, but I have to say I quite enjoy it - passing along my passion for digi scrapping to paper scrappers in the form of hybrid - the best of both worlds!

Well, back to this weekend and I have a new store kit coming out tomorrow (watch out for details in my newsletter). I told you about a freebie collab starting Monday, well that is not happening now - it's been delayed a week, but I can exclusively tell you that there will be a new freebie kit from me starting on Sunday which you can collect in four parts over four weeks. You won't want to miss it - I'm really pleased with it and almost put it in store, but decided you guys could have it for free!!
