Homeward bound!

I am coming home! CHA was fabulous, so was Hollywood and Disney, but all good things must come to an end. I have so much to tell you about my week away, but that can wait til I'm home as right now I have to pack and then we are going for a character breakfast at Disney - I get to meet Tigger - woohooo!!!! Don't forget to snag parts one and two of Shades of Happy while you still can - when our store re-opens, it won't be available any more. TTFN.

Shades of Happy!!

OK, so are you ready for a new freebie kit? This one is based on a colour swatch sent to me by one of my blog readers, Nathan. He has been reading my blog for a while and has been trying out designing for himself, but as he has a very slow internet connection, he hasn't gotten around to having a blog and sharing his kits - hopefully one day that will change and you can all see his fabulous work! So, thank you to Nathan for the inspiration - here is Shades of Happy! Firstly here is my layout using the kit - I thought the balloons matched the kit perfectly!

Now, check out some layouts from my CT (there are more to follow next week).... The first one is from Sara - I just don't think I could cope with sunshine in December!!

And this one is from Stacey - featuring her gorgeous kids!

If you click the preview, you can download part 1. This kit will go into the new store for just $1 when it's open on 1st February, so this link will be valid until then. Check back next Sunday for part two. TTFN.

Store closing!

Hi everyone - you will probably have heard from our newsletter that our old store is closing on Sunday and we are opening a brand new store in February. I just wanted to make sure everyone knows to spend any outstanding loyalty points, because they will not transfer to the new store. Also remember to check out the retiring soon category because none of those kits will transfer to the new store. Everything in there is $1 or less - not to be missed!! Also, if you place an order, please download it as quickly as you can so that the transfer can start to happen slightly earlier if possible. TTFN.

Take a look at this and if you are in the UK and have been looking to join a kit club, you can't go wrong with ScrapaGoGo!! TTFN.

More retiring kits

Well, I have been uploading my kits to the new store and it's a MASSIVE job, so I've decided to retire some more older kits from the dollar bin to save me some time :). So, grab them now if you want them - each preview is clickable to store. After 17th January, you will no longer be able to buy any of these kits....

New stuff and Pompey update

Thanks everyone so much for your well wishes for Pompey. He is still feeling quite sorry for himself which is made worse by the fact that we have to put a plastic bag over his foot every time he wants to go into the garden! He is decidedly unimpressed by that!

OK, so I had a few comments which I am going to mention. DoggiNO pointed out that Pompey's bandage co-ordinates with my Jack Frost kit!! LOL! I didn't notice before, but I will have to scrap that photo with the kit - watch this space. Gina wondered how I keep the bandage on - he honestly hasn't tried to chew it at all. This was probably mostly because he was so dopey last night from the sedative - things may change today as he livens up a bit! And Jenny asked how I keep his coat so shiny. Well, I am not really sure as I don't do anything special. However, someone once told me that giving dogs a little bit of tea can help and I already do that, so maybe that's the reason - he has the dregs of my tea most mornings. Also, he is the most spoilt dog in the world and so has zero stress to deal with!! LOL!

Finally, Pompey sends hugs back to Roman, Rex the rat and Murphy the cat who feels his pain :).

Now, I will tell you about what's new around scrapland.... Stacey and Mel have a freebie collab called "Living Life and Loving It" - check out their blogs for that - here's my layout and both previews are clickable.

And Stacey has a new kit in store, it's the next in her alphabet series - "L is for Let's Go Sledding". Check out my layout and the preview which is clickable to store. TTFN.

My poor soldier!

Now, you have to promise not to laugh, but here's Pompey with his foot bandaged after having his claw removed today! He could barely walk this morning and so I took him to the vet and she decided the best course of action was to remove it so that it didn't keep splitting when he walked on it. So.... this is what he looks like now!!! Awwwwww!

You promised you wouldn't laugh!!! LOL! TTFN.

Final part of Jack Frost

This kit has been so appropriate considering the weather we've been having in England and a lot of the northern hemisphere! I hope you've enjoyed collecting it and have been able to make use of it.

I know there are a lot of people out there who have many, many kits on their hard drive that they have never scrapped with - I have for sure and I am making it a new years resolution to scrap with every single one of my kits from now on. It's very rare that I pick up any kits except those from the other Scrap That Idea girls, so it's just mine that I have to be good with! Come on - I know you want to use some of that lovely digi stash! Grab yourself some templates and use them up - I find it's a perfect balance between a QP and making a layout from scratch. With a template, you can make it your own, but you have the basics to get you started for speed! So, look out for templates - there are lots of freebie ones around - use up some of my old kits and show me the results! I can't wait to see them!

I haven't done an update on Pompey and Lily for a while, so I thought I would today as hubby is watching the footie and it's sooooo DULL!! lol! They both enjoyed Christmas - Pompey is an expert at present unwrapping - he removes the paper and then takes whatever is inside, leaving the paper behind. Lily just eats the whole thing!! Lily has put on weight over Christmas which is strange because she's usually so skinny and so she is on a mini diet - although the snow is helping her lose the weight with all the energy she expends running around in it and catching snowballs! Pompey has split his claw which is causing him quite a bit of pain. We didn't realise it was a split claw for a few days - we thought he'd twisted his paw or something, but it's started to get a bit smelly and weepy, so we've been bathing it in salt water and putting savlon on it and hopefully it will be fine - if not, it's off to the vet for some antibiotics!

Back to today and I have the final part of Jack Frost for you. Part three is no longer available, but you can buy the entire kit here in store for just $1 if you missed any of it. I have a new four part kit ready to go next week - it's bright and funky and based on a colour swatch from Nathan - one of my long time blog readers - you're going to LOVE it! Click the preview below to download part four and I'll see you sometime during the next week with another freebie! TTFN.

Colour My World

New year, new beginnings! As you probably already know, we are having a store makeover for a re-opening on my February 1st. So, this will be my last kit that I put into the old store - I hope you like it!! This kit I made by choosing a photo and an idea for a layout - the kit grew from there! I am really, really pleased with how it turned out and I hope that means that you like it too! This is what it looks like - 'Colour My World'.

This is my layout that inspired the kit.

And here are some of the layouts done by the store CT with the kit...
First is from Gina - check out that cutie with the smile!

These next two are by Lee-Anne - more gorgeous smiles here!

And Nancy's layout is keeping up the smiling theme....

And Rose really went for it with the colour combinations - beautiful!

Finally, I have a freebie for you - it's a template made using my Mystical Memories layout. I'd love to see what you do with it if you snag it!! Happy New Year!
