More paper scrapping

Well, I really am enjoying a bit of paper scrapping recently. I have been so busy with work and I just want to get away from the computer in the evenings for sanity's sake!! So, paper scrapping and card making have been my escape. I have the May ScrapaGoGo kit and it's absolutely gorgeously lush and so I decided to do two layouts :) The first is a photo of the girls with Pooh at Disney - of course, Tigger is my favourite, but Pooh is VERY cuddly!!

And this second one is the photo I took of Pompey with the hipstamatic camera iPhone app - I thought the bluey/greeny tint in the photo looked great with the colours in the kit.

Hello!

I am so sorry that I haven't been around much and that you are still waiting for my next freebie kit. Things really are hectic for me right now with work and I feel a bit like I am swimming against the tide. Also, we are having some glorious sunshine in England right now and I can't resist being outside as much as possible outside of work hours! However, my sabbatical starts next weekend and so I will have more time to myself without the feeling that my head has too much in it!! So, don't give up on me - I will be back after a little more of a break and you'll be glad you hung in there!! TTFN.

I have seen a few people using the hipstamatic camera app for iPhone and it looked fun, so I thought I would try it for myself. All I can say is.... CUUUUTE! I love the frame that's automatically put around the image with the rounded corners. I am going to have some fun with this!!

A little freebie

Did you see my new kit 'Pretty Industrial'? My favourite colour is purple, so I really enjoyed making this one.

I showed you all the layouts from my CT yesterday, but I missed Rose - sorry girl! Here is Rose's layout and it's gorgeous, so I wouldn't want you to miss it. It's very clever with the hexagon shapes of the photo.

And this is my layout - this kit works perfectly for black and white photos - I love the final look.

Where does time go?

I cannot believe it's only 2 weeks until my sabbatical. When I first chose when I would take it, it was a year away and here were are now, almost there! Part of me is really, really excited, but other part of me is in full on stress mode because of the amount of stuff that I have to offload onto others so that they can do my job while I am gone! It feels like I'm leaving my job rather than taking 3 months off! Unfortunately, I will have to go back in August - as long as we have a mortgage, I'll have to continue to work!! LOL!

This morning, I got my latest monthly kit from ScrapaGoGo and it's DELICIOUS! Even Pompey and Lily wanted to give it a sniff when it arrived! I will have to do more paper scrapping this weekend to make room for the new goodies I guess!!

Tonight we are going to friends for dinner - really looking forward to that! However, note to self - diet starts on the first day of sabbatical and continues until Sara visits in July!! LOL! That should be long enough to lose a few pounds so that I can have some photos taken when she's here!

Did I tell you that on Monday, Lily and I went to agility and we played 'boxed pairs'. It's basically a relay with two dogs and two handlers and our team came first three out of the four times we did it!!! WOOOOHOOOOO! Lily is a clever little thing - if anything though, I hold her back because I can't run as fast as she can!! LOL!

OK, enough rambling from me for the day - I'll be back tomorrow with news of my new kit and on Sunday with a new freebie kit starting (assuming I find the time to finish it!). TTFN.

A Day With You collaboration kit

Quite a few weeks ago, I was asked to do a collaboration with Nathan and of course I said yes. Nathan started out reading my blog and collecting my freebies and now he is a designer himself and really has a great talent. I am proud to present our collaboration - 'A Day With You'. Nathan chose the colour palette and the name and he did a great job - check out what the kit looks like - firstly my part and then Nathan's....

Paper scrapping again!!

I have been paper scrapping today - I have so much stash that I have to use it up somehow!! Today, I thought I would use a rub on that my dear friend Alyssa sent me after we went to CHA in California in 2009. She said that she thought of me when she saw it - you'll see why! So Alyssa - this layout is for you! Thank you lovely lady for thinking of me.

This is based on a Pencil Lines sketch. I used some October Afternoon paper and some ricrac from a couple of different ScrapaGoGo kits and I used the box the kit arrived in as the background paper. Also, some Prima flowers and pebbles and the rubon is DaisyDs. Oh and of course, some Thickers!

Forever

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter? I have been quite relaxed and am not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow. Why do holidays go so fast? LOL! However, I only have four weeks of work left until my sabbatical, so that's something definitely to look forward to!!

Today, I want to tell you about my newest kit called 'Forever' - it's something a little different for me colour-wise, but I am really pleased with it - take a look....

You can buy it in store right now for just $3. I even did two layouts with it myself! The first is a photo of the ScrapaGoGo girls outside Tiffany's on Rodeo Drive after our recent visit to California for CHA - I couldn't resist using the title of my favourite film in the layout!
