I am scared to put out a CT call because I always get so many amazing applications and I find it soooo difficult to decide who to 'keep'! LOL! However, it's time for me to add one more person to my team. A little birdie tells me that Stacey wants a new person but doesn't have time for a call because she's moving, so I am looking for her too!! ;)
So, if you want to be on my CT, this is what you need to know.... I do 2-3 kits max per month and I need one layout per kit - two if you have time. I need you to post your layouts in the Scrap That Idea gallery and any other gallery that you post in. And I would like you to blog or facebook about my kits if you use either of those and generally promote my kits wherever you go in scrapland. Pretty simple really hey? If you're interested and you think that you would be a good addition to my team, please send me two of your favourite layouts plus a layout using my latest freebie collab with Stacey - Fresh Breeze (using both mine and stacey's parts), also a link to your gallery and/or blog and let me know of any other CT commitments you already have. Send all of this to me by email - vicki (at) scrapthatidea (dot) com before Saturday 3rd July. Can't wait to see what you all can offer! TTFN.

Retiring kits
Before I get to the retiring kits, I must tell you that I am enjoying the sunshine so much right now that it's hard to want to be anywhere near a computer - hence, my very brief blogposts recently :) I will be back with a summary of my sabbatical before it's over and after Sara has been to visit in less than two weeks!
Back to business and I have decided to retire 10 kits - some are quite old and others are old freebies. You can get them all until the end of July in the store in the 'retiring soon' section for just $1. This will be your last chance to get them before they're gone. These are the kits I'm retiring - click here to go to the section in store. TTFN.

My newest kit - My Guy and a freebie
I have a new kit in store this week for scrapping your boys - young and old!! Most male kits that I see out there are geared towards certain occasions like father's day or are themed, but I wanted to be able to scrap the everyday photos of my hubby, so I created 'My Guy'. This is what it looks like...
You can buy it in store for a limited time for just $3 here.
I am going to show you the layouts from my creative team a bit later today, but for now, I want to show you my layout - the photos of which inspired the kit. This is my hubby giving rude hand gestures (for those of you in the US who aren't familiar with this gesture, it's similar to the middle finger gesture, but not quite so rude!! LOL!
And I have a freebie for you - it's a cluster frame made using the kit. I hope you like it and will consider buying the whole kit if you do! Click here to download directly from my blog. TTFN.

Doodle happy with a freebie!
Today I wanted to show you my latest kit which contains some doodles made by me of which I am very proud :) I have called it Doodle Happy and this is what it looks like:
It is perfect for girly pages with the pinks and also boy pages with the brown, green and orange. Check out what my CT have done with the kit - these layouts are incredible and show how versatile it is.
Also, do you remember Vicki A who used to be on my creative team? Well, she said to me before she left that if I had a girly kit with pink, she'd love to guest CT! Well, I thought this was the perfect kit for her and she made a layout for me. Check it out - how beautiful is this?

You can pick up the kit in store for just $3 this week - that's 25% off for a limited time. Don't miss it. I know you are going to love this one and I can't wait to see what you do with it.
I have a freebie just for you too - it's a coordinating cluster frame. I hope you like it and you'll consider buying the whole kit :) Click the image to download. Oh and don't forget to leave a comment on my facebook page here before the end of Friday if you want to win a kit of your choice from my store - just let me know which one you want - simple! TTFN.

Fresh Breeze freebie
Well, I'm not going to talk about the football (soccer) - things are a little tense around here right now and it's best not to discuss it!! LOL! I imagine that most of my US readers that know anything about soccer are really quite pleased with the result!! :)
Moving on.... in the spirit of unity between our two countries - Stacey and I have teamed up for a gorgeous freebie collab made with a colour swatch given to us by our CT member Kim H. Thanks for the inspiration Kim - it was just the kick start we needed to collab together again - it's been far too long and I do LOVE working with Stacey - she's so easy going!
So, this is what both parts of the entire kit looks like:

These are a few inspirational layouts from my creative team - the first one is from Gina - very clever useage of the heart shapes.
This beauty is from Kim B - proving, as she always does, that kits with girly colours are not just for girls!
These next two are from Laramie - both layouts are stunning!

And finally, this is from Stacey - sooooo beautiful!
For today, you get the papers - click my preview to download directly from my blog and Stacey's preview to go to her blog to download! I hope you like it - check back next week for the elements! TTFN.

It's a big day today!!

My hubby is CRAZY about football (soccer) and today is probably the most nerve-wracking, exciting day of the year for him - even more so than the FA Cup final because he already knew his team would probably lose, so he just went to enjoy the day!!
Today is England's first match and we are playing USA! Now, I am fully aware that most of my blog readers are from the US, but right now, I am going to have to tell you that I want your team to LOSE!! Sorry, but that's the way it is! I will love you all again tomorrow, but for today, you are my enemy!!! LOL!! To show there's no bad feeling - you will get the start of a freebie collab tomorrow between Stacey and me to show unity between our two countries!!! TTFN.
GO ENGLAND! GO ENGLAND!! GO ENGLAND!!!

World Cup freebie kit layout
June collaboration - My Dad
I am sorry, but I forgot to tell you about our store collaboration kit for June. It's called My Dad, because at least in the US and England, it's Father's Day in June and we thought it would be great for Dad layouts to show how much we love them! You can pick this massive kit up in store for just $4! I am going to get busy with scrapping my Dad later, but for now, take a look at the kit and the layouts from my creative team - the other girls have more layouts, so be sure to check those too! There will even be a freebie in the STI newsletter on Friday, so make sure you're signed up to that!! I'll be back soon - there's another freebie kit out of retirement on Thursday!! TTFN.

World Cup freebie alpha
Thank you for all your lovely comments wishing me a happy anniversary - I had a quiet day as we travelled home from staying with my Mum and Dad for a week and we were both tired. However, hubby made some nice dinner for us and we relaxed in front of the TV! Oh the excitement of married couples!! LOL!
I promised yesterday to show you the layouts using my newest kit - 'Imagination'. Firstly, a reminder of what the kit looks like...
And these are the layouts from my CT - absolutely stunning, I think you'll agree! I must be the luckiest designer in Scrapland!
OK, so now to the freebie - today you get the third and final part of the kit - the alpha! Click my preview to download mine and click Mel's to go to her blog to collect hers. And don't forget to sign up for our promo at the STI forum and download the participation freebie which is now available for the first challenge.

More World Cup goodies!
Before we get to the freebie, I have to tell you that today is mine and hubby's 8th wedding anniversary! We went to a wedding yesterday and at the end of the night we had a smoochy dance to celebrate - can you imagine a better thing to do the night before your anniversary? I love weddings - so romantic!
Back to today, I just wanted to show you my newest kit - 'Imagination'. I will show you all of my creative team's layouts tomorrow, but wanted you to see this kit today as I am so proud of it. The colours are summery and completely versatile for boys or girls. I hope you like it - you can buy it for just $3 here if you do :)
Now back to soccer - I am so glad you all like the latest freebie collab kit - thanks for leaving comments about who you're supporting! I can't believe that the tournament starts in only 5 days - things are getting pretty excited around here because Hubby LOVES football (he refuses to call it soccer)! We are all hoping for an England win, but Spain and Brazil are the favourites according to our sports journalists, so it may not come about!! LOL!
Today, you can collect the elements for both parts of the kit. Click my preview to download my part and click Mel's preview to go to her blog to collect hers. Don't forget to check back tomorrow for the alpha!! TTFN.

Soccer World Cup freebie!!

Unless you have been living in a cave (or in Colorado like Stacey!!), you have to have heard about the Soccer World Cup in South Africa starting on Friday 11th. And if you haven't signed up for our promotion at Scrap That Idea's forum, then you're missing out!!
As some of you will know, Mel is from South Africa and she is REALLY excited about her country hosting the tournament and so she should be - it's a fantastic event. And as you also know, I am from England - the original home of soccer (despite the fact that we haven't actually won the cup since 1966)! So, Mel and I decided to do a World Cup 2010 kit for you guys to collect as a freebie. I always love working with Mel - she was my very first collab partner way before we opened Scrap That Idea! The colours were taken from the South African flag and wonderfully, it contains the colours of most of the team flags that are involved! This is the flag so that you can see what we started with...
And this is the kit that we each came up with - Mel's is very South African themed which is fantastic and mine has a general feel about it for all you other nationalities :)
Today you can collect the papers from each of us - click Mel's preview to go to her blog to download and click mine to download direct from my blog. Check back tomorrow for the elements and Monday for the alpha. Please remember to leave some love if you snag it and let us know who you'll be supporting! GO ENGLAND!!

I have a new kit coming out today, but before it's released, I wanted to show you a couple of layouts that my CT have done using my kit - 'Cherish'. The first is a sticker chart that Rose has created for her son - isn't it gorgeous and clever?
And this is from Kim H - her son is so photogenic and the layout is beautiful! Thanks ladies.
